Born to Shine was an ITV entertainment programme which featured celebrities who learn a new skill taught to them by talented teenagers, live on ITV. It was presented by Natasha Kaplinsky.

Every week three celebrities take to the stage, in an attempt to make it through to the final. Denise Van Outen and Jason Gardiner give their opinions to the celebrities before the lines open for the public to vote for their favourite and all of the money raised goes to Save The Children.
Episode 1 aired on Sunday 17 July 2011 at 8pm on ITV. Presented by Natasha Kaplinsky, with judges Denise van Outen, Jason Gardiner and Kimberley Walsh. Michael Underwood and Angellica Bell learnt tap dancing but unfortunately did not make it to the final. Jodie Prenger learnt rap but also failed to win the public vote. Nick Moran learnt to play the piano and won the public vote to the final, however failed to win.
Episode 2 aired on Sunday 24 July 2011 at 8pm on ITV. Presented by Natasha Kaplinsky, with judges Denise van Outen, Jason Gardiner and Alex James. Ruth Langsford learnt to play the drums but unfortunately did not make it to the final. Dawn Porter also failed to make it through to the final with her singing. However Tony Audenshaw and Lesley Dunlop won the public vote for the night and made it through to the final with their dancing.
Episode 3 aired on Sunday 31 July 2011 at 8pm on ITV. Presented by Natasha Kaplinsky, with judges Denise van Outen, Jason Gardiner and Chipmunk. Jason Byrne was taught Irish dance but did not make it to the final. Joe Swash learnt to beatbox but also failed to make it to the final. However Tracy-Ann Oberman won the public vote with her folk music.
Episode 4 aired on Sunday 7 August at 8pm on ITV. Presented by Natasha Kaplinsky, with judges Denise van Outen, Stephen Mulhern and Myleene Klass. Jorgie Porter learnt how to street dance but did not make it to the final. Jennie Bond learnt how to play percussion instruments and Jason Manford who made it through to the final and won, learnt how to sing opera.
Episode 5 aired on Sunday 14 August at 8pm on ITV. Presented by Natasha Kaplinsky, with expert judges Denise van Outen, Jason Gardiner and Sebastien Izambard. John Barnes learnt dancing, and Jennie McAlpine learnt singing and the guitar but both of them failed to make it through to the final in a weeks time. However rugby player Gareth Thomas learnt to play the theme of Star Wars on the harp and won the public vote through to the final.
Episode 6 (the final) aired on Sunday 21 August at 7.30pm on ITV. Presented by Natasha Kaplinsky, with expert judges Jason Gardiner and Denise Van Outen. Each celebrity who made it to the final performed one more time alongside their mentor. There was no public vote in the final, so the judges vote was final. Jason Manford was crowned the winner.
